Terms of Use
A Search Engine for your organisation.
Introduction
These Terms of Use describe when and how you may access and use Rufous Search ("the Service"). Please read them carefully. By accessing the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.
Licences and third-party content
Rufous Search grants you a limited, revocable licence to use the Service subject to these Terms. We try to keep the Service available, secure, and functional, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation and may add, remove, or change features at any time.
The "Rufous Search" name, logo, and visual identity are property of Rufous. All other product names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use those trademarks.
User conduct and responsibility
You are responsible for the queries you submit, the tokens you use to authenticate, and the content retrieved through the Service. Do not use the Service to infringe on intellectual property rights, harass others, violate applicable law, or circumvent security controls.
Feedback and ideas
Feedback, suggestions, and ideas you voluntarily share with us are non-confidential. By submitting them you grant Rufous a royalty-free licence to use them to improve the Service.
Third-party services
The Service aggregates results from third-party search providers. Content returned by those providers is their responsibility, not ours. Your use of third-party websites linked from our results is at your own risk and subject to those sites' terms.
Permitted uses
Rufous Search is intended for research, professional, and educational use. Results are provided as-is; while we strive for accuracy, errors may occur and results should not be relied upon as legal, medical, or professional advice.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to scrape the Service at abusive rates, upload malware, interfere with its operation, or share your access token with unauthorised parties. We reserve the right to suspend access to any token or account that violates these Terms.
Copyright
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content surfaced through the Service infringes your rights, please contact us with details and we will review and act in accordance with applicable law.
